MITA — Mental Health Treatment Alliance

Assam ANT

About This Programme

MITA (Mental Health Treatment Alliance) is a flagship project supported by ANT. It provides technical support, medicines, psychiatric services, and counselling to individuals in Adivasi tea garden communities of Assam.

A dedicated counsellor provides ongoing support while social workers conduct regular field visits to assess patient progress, educate families about the illness, and ensure treatment continuity. A poster campaign and community street plays help normalise conversations around mental health.
