Our Achievements
Since 2017, we've been working side by side with marginalised communities to build a more equitable and empowered society.
Jeevan Shiksha was started in 2017 and has been working for marginalised communities in Assam and Uttarakhand. In Assam, we work with Adivasi tea garden communities. In Uttarakhand, we support the Van Gujjar community — many of whom now live in settlements without proper access to health care and education.
Our work began with education through community learning centres and libraries. Over time, it has expanded to include mental health, livelihoods, menstrual and maternal health, nature education, and access to government services.
Today, we use sports to promote gender equality and run focused programmes on maternal and menstrual health in tea garden communities. Jeevan Shiksha works with partner organisations across India to strengthen community health, education, and youth leadership.
