Frisbee is a gender-neutral sport that was introduced specifically for young girls in Balijan, Chabua, Assam, to promote women's empowerment. The sport was chosen for its accessibility, low equipment cost, and inclusive nature.
The activity has helped girls participate actively in sports and challenge deeply rooted community taboos around girls playing outdoors. Trained by Anjana Majhi, the programme has grown into a regular part of community life and youth culture in the tea garden area.

Scheduled training sessions led by Anjana Majhi, Frisbee Coach, for girls of all levels.
Friendly matches that build teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship among participants.
The programme actively challenges norms restricting girls from outdoor physical activity.
Senior players mentor younger ones, creating a peer-led culture of empowerment.
Your contribution directly supports the communities and people behind this work.
